Plastic Nancy, Plastic Nancy, She’s legally blonde and emotionally dead, Shot a bullet right through her porcelain head. She’s Plastic Nancy. She used to be An actress Of some renown around town. She used to be My Plastic Nancy. Plastic Nancy, Plastic Nancy, She’s legally blonde and emotionally dead, Shot a bullet right through her porcelain head. She’s Plastic Nancy. She used to be Someone As you can see. She used to be A lover, The one for me. Well ya know Her teeth are perfect And brighten up my night. When she left this world Oh what a sorry girl She’s my Plastic Nancy. Plastic Nancy, Plastic Nancy, Plastic Nancy, Plastic Nancy. She’s plastic He’s plastic You’re plastic Everyone I know is Plastic Nancy.

Everyone of us stands naked to our will, Everyone of us stands open to our fate. I believe we’re in a similar position So forgive me for assuming your condition. It’s the singer not the song And my words came out all wrong So forgive me for my misstep into disgrace. I’ll forgive them in your place. Everyone of us is bound to slip and fall, Everyone of us may sometimes feel alone. I believe we’re headed for disaster So forgive me for asking what you’re after. It’s the singer not the song And my words came out all wrong So forgive me for my misstep into disgrace. I’ll forgive them in your place. It’s the singer not the song And my words came out all wrong So forgive me for my misstep into disgrace. I’ll forgive them in your place.

about

The A-Side: "Plastic Nancy" was one of the first originals I wrote that I was truly proud of. Written in 2016 in the span of about 10 minutes, this song is loosely based on my experience in the high-octane world of high school theater. Who is Nancy? That is for you to decide!

The B-Side: "The Singer Not The Song" was written in the Fall of 2017. Featuring two acoustic guitars tuned differently and my favorite harmonica solo, it's the perfect foil to "Plastic Nancy".

Special thanks to Steve Joyner who heard me play "Plastic Nancy" far too many times and Eugene O'Reilly for casting me in Lyons Township High School's production of Legally Blonde. Further thanks go to my friends and family for both supporting me with my music but also keeping me grounded in reality.
