about

"The Singer Not The Song" was written in the Fall of 2017. Featuring two acoustic guitars tuned differently and my favorite harmonica solo, it's the perfect foil to "Plastic Nancy".

lyrics

Everyone of us stands naked to our will,
Everyone of us stands open to our fate.
I believe we’re in a similar position
So forgive me for assuming your condition.

It’s the singer not the song
And my words came out all wrong
So forgive me for my misstep into disgrace.
I’ll forgive them in your place.

Everyone of us is bound to slip and fall,
Everyone of us may sometimes feel alone.
I believe we’re headed for disaster
So forgive me for asking what you’re after.

It’s the singer not the song
And my words came out all wrong
So forgive me for my misstep into disgrace.
I’ll forgive them in your place.

It’s the singer not the song
And my words came out all wrong
So forgive me for my misstep into disgrace.
I’ll forgive them in your place.
